Wondering about Temptu ?Posted by simon on April 30, 2001 at 18:45:26: I noticed two conflicting opinions about Temptu posted and I waswondering if any one else had experienced their products. The reason I am asking is because last Saturday I helped an old school friend out by providing Henna at a student ball. Although it was excellent fun and I got a huge response from people there (the magician actually packed up to go home early because everybody wanted a tattoo) I had one big problem, the free bar. Everybody was really stoked with their tattoos and it was amazing the lengths people went to to keep them from smudging (One guy even had one on his arse and went round half the night with his pants down (not something I particularly wanted to do but 30 of his friends came along to offer 'moral support' and it seemed unfair to dissapoint them). Anyway all was fine until about 12 am when about 90% of the people there were completely wasted and trying to a) keep them still long enough to carry out the design and b) keep them from smudging the designs was nearly impossible. It is likely that I will have quite alot of work doing balls so I was planning to do Henna at the beginning of the evening when people are quite sober and then maybe swap to tempory tattoo's later on when people are leaning towards paralytic, the idea being that the temporary tattoos will provide a quick fix that won't be ruined or ruin ball gowns by any drunken 'stumbling'. If anyone has used Temptu (or someting like) it I'd love to hear from you. Cheers, Simon
