Iusually only use oils to make the henna smell pretty, and have found that if I mix 2 tbsp of powder (which ends up being double when it's a paste), I only need about 4 - 8 drops of oil. Most recently, I've used sweet orange (which smells just like "Terry's" Chocolate Oranges - the one's you have to hit to open...yummmmmmy!) when it's in henna, lavender, and lemon. I used to use eucalyptus and occasionaly clove, but find that they're too strong and clove has the potential to cause rashes on certain people. You'll probably need to experiment yourself. I find about 4 drops is good for lavender and 6 - 8 drops is good for the orange or citrus. Jen : I am doing alot of mixing lately. I am wondering how many drops of : essential oil do you out in a 2 TBSP paste? : Thanks
