I want to encourage all of you who are thinking about going to the
Sirius rising festival to take the plunge and go!

Rachael and I got together tonight to collaborate on a project for an
upcoming event we're doing. After our work was done and some
sandwiches and a tv break we hennaed each other. It had been a
really long time since both of us had been hennaed by someone other
than ourselves. Even though Rachael is only in Orlando, and I'm in
the Tampa area, we've been meaning to get together for months but
this was our first opportunity.

It really makes a difference to have a henna experience with someone
who cares about it just like you do! And can henna you just for the
fun of it, not because you're there to make money. Being hennaed
artist to artist totally brings back into circle the cultural,
traditional, religious, and just pure fun nature of henna.

I won't be able to go to Sirius Rising because I will have only just
gotten back from studying in France during June, but I implore all
you other artists on this forum to take this wonderful opportunity to
meet one another and share ideas. It makes you feel appreciated as
an artist, which is sometimes lacking when you're dealing a lot with
the public.
