You can make removal a bit easier if you steam the paste off (which also helps the color darken) though that's a bit difficult if the paste isn't on your hands or forearms. You can soak a washcloth in very hot water, wring it out very very well, and lay that over the design to give it a steam with minimal water exposure (getting it wet may compromise your color) and then scrape; you can also use oil (any type is fine, even olive or vegetable oil) to help remove the paste. I usually steam mine off, then rub it with oil. I tend to use a wadded-up paper towel to scrape at my henna,. too. (If you use your nails you can scratch yourself). Hope this helps! Zimra
