Many of us here feel we have a duty to promote safe henna practices. Mixing henna with toxic substances is just as bad as using PPD. Allowing it to pass unremarked upon is something we cannot do, if not for Talia's sake then for whatever passers-by happen to read the posts. Sure the lecture is getting old, but the message is no less valid. I, personally, can neither condone nor fail to remark when the topic of dangerous, toxic henna mixings comes up. From the posts I see that many other forum regulars feel the same way. As long as the topic comes up, I for one will continue to voice my opinion, which is based on personal knowledge and scientific fact. It is important that the forum reflect a safe, sane, informed approach to henna, especially given the number of "hits" this site gets per day. If I can help one person understand the importance of safety, it is more than worth it. Zimra (hey, where'd this soap box come from, and how did I end up standing on it? :-)
