What do I keep doing wrong here?

I've tried for the second time to henna my hair. Once again there's
no color difference. At least this time my hair didn't go all greasy
like last time (That was SO nasty. Had to shampoo 3 times and use
about half a bottle of conditioner to get it back to normal again)My
hair is very dark, and most people I've heard talking about puttig
henna in their hair seem to have light hair, so maybe the color comes
out more quickly for them? Has anyone with dark hair managed to get
any color from henna? I read Catherine's page, supposedly it should.
