A really excellent henna party 40 days after birth is almost universal .... wherein the woman gets new clothes, gets her hair done (I remember mine being an absolute wreck for about 4 months after delivering as there was never a moment for myself ....) and has a thorough bathing, prettying up and decking out ... and her friends offer to mind the kids while she has a chance to spend a night with her husband again.
