I would like to be treated more like : an artist who is creating actual art on these people, but the art : portion of it seems to get pushed aside. : ~Nick I know what you are talking about. i just had an event at a girls' school this week and it was absolute mayhem, pages of my books flying around, people bumping and crowding the table, asking questions etc. There was even a soccer-mom pushing to get her girls to the front of the line by any means possible--pretty scary! I was in another world working on one person at a time, blocking out the mayhem. I couldn't have done this without an assistant who answered questions, controlled the crowd, lemon-sugared and wrapped. Unfortunately I didn't realize until about 2/3 of the way through the event that I should have been keeping a list. Once I started a waiting list things calmed down a lot. This will cut down on the piercing cries of "henna me!" and give you some peace to be an artist instead of a machine. Also, at such events, I find that there are always people who don't understand henna and see you as a machine, and then there are others who really appreciate the art and you as an artist and want to ask you questions and talk about their experiences. In this mass of squirming squealing girls I had a couple like that and it was pure pleasure. One girl let me do anything I wanted on her hand but wanted the "om" sign...I think her design came out the best of any of
