I have LOTS of those daysPosted by jenaye on June 16, 2001 at 21:08:36: In reply to: AAGGHH one of those days posted by samantha on June 16, 2001 at 00:39:37: Hi Samantha, I can sure relate to your lousy weather situation.Where I live is eqivalent to the very northern tip of the British Isles... here in Northern British Columbia... and our weather has been deplorable for the past 3 years at LEAST... doing henna outside isn't even really an option these days. Last summer I had one festival that was absolutely amazing, beautiful sunny weather, but the rest of the summer, when I wanted to go to the local farmers market every Saturday the weather SUCKED and I didn't bother. Same thing this year. Lousy weather, no outside henna. I did a Midieval Fair a few weekends ago, there were about a dozen people only (first one in this area) I did 3 hennas and made $13.00 (one henna was a huge dragon on a friend's back - will post at photo site soon) and it was spurts of cold cloudy & sun. At least it didn't rain, which is what we all expected. So I can't really help, but I sure can relate!!! Peace & henna, Jen : We are attending the Balloons Across the Mersey (river) Festival - : like the one in Oxford, this weekend and what a washout so far. "sigh" : : We have been asked to setup between 9-30am and 3-30pm as it was to : start today at 4pm. I got there and the Craft Marquue had a roof and : no walls. In typical English style it was P**s**g down; thunder, : black skies the whole lot. Most of the traders never arrived, two : went home; and myself and two others just sat and watched. didn't set : up or anything. There was hardly any people there. The band was : singing to no-one. Gosh it was awful. We spent £70 just for the space : alone. : : We are there tomorrow and Sunday and relying on the money to book us : into other festivals (speculate to acumulate). My frozen henna is out : of the freezer and in the fridge and i am hoping it still has it's : staining power (same as castle arts stuff). : : Sorry to go on I'm just a little miffed to say the least and had to : off load to to those who understand. : : Samantha : : (who is looking forward to a better day tomorrow but the forecast is : for RAIN - AGAIN)
