I am search of a book or someone with knowledge of the Egyptian
practice of using a combination of quick lime and other ingredients
for "curing" a henna design to a deep black color. It is my
understanding that this mixture is usually applied after the henna
paste has drie and fallen off of the skin. I would love to find a
recipe and/or directions for this particular technique, as I have
several friends that seek a deep black design (I refuse to use
the "black henna" chemicals due to fear they might suffer permanent
skin damage). Can anyone outthere help me?
