Jamila henna....Green vs Khaki

The two times I have ordered Jamila I've received it in a small box
with the henna in a thin plastic bag. Each time the powder has been a
khaki color.

At first I thought I got a bad batch but I tried it out and got a
very good stain, a deep cherry that lasted a long time. This goes
against everything I've read and learned here...that henna should be
bright green to give the best stain. I use Kenzi's henna too, which
is a wonderful green, and I get an almost identical stain.

Can anyone help explain this?
