You know that : funny crimp you get when you braid your hair wet, tight, and let it : dry, and then unbraid after a couple of days? The Kore have *those* : crimps, and on the statues where there is coloration left, the crimps : are henna red! Kore being devotees of Athena (nee' Anath, the hennaed : virgin warrior goddess).. : : Into the last century, most brides in Morocco, Turkey, etc, had their : hair plaited with henna before their weddings. : : : Cool, eh? - WAAAAAAAAY COOL !! My mom just sort of twisted my hair into a bun and wrapped it up with the saran wrap. I should've asked her to pleat it for me, I'd like to see how that would turn out to be :) .... and I do wonder if it would be like the "tie & dye" effect as mentioned by Kenzi ..... hmmmmmm .... I'll try it in my next henna session *grins* .... already my mama wanted to do it again for me ... how about that ?
