I used to do this to distinguish my tips but it didn't work forlong. To clean my tips I put them in a little plastic tupperware-
type tub with hot water and a little soap and shake it. I change the
water and shake again, and repeat until the water no longer has bits
of dried henna floating in it (usually after three rounds). This
would dislodge the dried up henna and clean the tips up really nice
but it also got rid of the nail polish markings! Oh well. Now that
I can distinguish them other ways I don't have to worry. Thanks Boy
