breaking the 7th seal?Posted by Catherine Cartwright Jones on June 30, 2001 at 22:32:51: In reply to: Ravensara posted by mark on June 30, 2001 at 08:52:03: On the unsealed ravensara thing...I suspect that the hige-terpine mixes do as well as or BETTER without sealing! I think they need more access to oxygen to do their job than the non-terped paste. So, though NS or something keeps the henna parked nicely, . I haven't done many side-by's with this yet, but so far ..... high-terp pastes left on a couple of hours does every bit as well as many hours with a sealer. Perhaps if you can add sugar or egg to make the henna adhere more, sealing may not be particularly helpful. I'm VERY happy that the Ravensara worked for you! It's fantastic to find a safe, ethical way to get the dark fast results that people want ... and not have to go broke buying a pricy pre-mix. I can mix up 16 oz. of caj-paste for no more than $13, and the color is stunning. Compare that to pre-mixes? Hmmmm. Also, as the FDA clamps down on pre-mixes that don't have full disclosure of ingredients ... it does seem imperative to learn to do this onesself, if only to avoid delays in shipment! (they detained a shipment of Earth Henna kits .. so they're getting right sniffy!)
