I ground up some black pepper with my mill and added it to themordant. I felt a little itchy all over for a couple of minutes. I
didn't have any reddened skin but I used just a tiny bit and I was
afraid to increase it. I don't think it was really enough to affect
the color. Keep in mind I have to triple glove to chop jalepenos, a
less wimpy person might be fine.
