Suffice it to say that he didn't want his hands hennaed and it wasn't a place like to keep its same shape. Apart from the technical difficulties of doing henna there, looking at it objectively, what is different about hennaing that and hennaing someone's hands? I think a lot has to do with the attitude of the person requesting the henna work. When I suggested to this guy that I wouldn't do it but maybe my henna partner might be willing he was quite interested until I told him that she is Palestinian! I got the distinct feeling that he was up for it (no pun intended!) as long as it was an American woman (cuz, as you know, we'll do anything!) but it suddenly became shameful when it was a fellow Palestinian. I think that if this quetion ever comes up I will follow CCJ's suggestion to agree as long as his mother and the bride's mother are present for
