Re: Aftercare InstructionsPosted by Lynn on July 3, 2001 at 20:14:35: In reply to: Aftercare Instructions posted by Cheryl on July 3, 2001 at 19:35:46: Hiya, here's mine, maybe if a few people post and we brainstorm wewill come up with the most fantastic after care leaflet ever!!! CARING FOR YOUR HENNA DESIGN Be very careful not to smudge the wet design. Leave uncovered. DO NOT PICK IT OFF. Do not pull at the surrounding skin (for eg. if it is at the top of your arm) to try and look at the design as this will result in you disturbing the henna. BE PATIENT! (Some may flake off naturally if you have a finer design). Leave the henna on your skin overnight. The longer the dry henna is left on the skin, the darker the colour will be and the longer it will last. In the morning gentrly brush the dry henna off. Moisturise with a little olive oil. Try not to let water tourch the design for 24 hours, (it won't wash off, but if you avoid water, again the colour will be deeper.) Moisturise the design twice a day. The colour of the henna will darken from yellow/orange to a deep rich red/brown over the first 48 hours (this may be different for you depending on what henna you use) If you go swimming protect your design with vaseline or a plaster, as the chloring will bleach the colour. Hope this is a bit helpful. Lynn: Will anyone share their written aftercare instructions with me? Thus : far, I've only given verbals and think that perhaps I should be : giving written instructions. I PROMISE not to plagiarize, I'm just : looking for an idea of how in-depth to go. As always, thanks for : your kindness and patience.
