Nobody is taking anything, we are sharing and eagerly learning about your culture, and the culture of the millions of Indians, Pakistanis, Spanish Jews, Arabs, Berbers, and a dozen others using henna as a part of their traditions. Many if not all of the people you see posting on this forum see henna as baraka, a highly spiritual good, which we are honored to share. It is always an occasion of great joy when we get to do henna, even if it's at a street fair, and we relish the opportunity to spread our knowledge of this art. Yes, there are people in it for a quick buck, and people drawing smiley faces and using bad stuff, but for the most part, we are not them. Please, if you have traditional knowledge to share, whether it's memories of henna from your youth, pictures of friends' work, recipies, or whatever, we would LOVE to hear about it! Lauren : It makes me mad to see people taking my culture. How many of the : people wearing henna are Islamic? We don't put it on to look cool or : to have a temporary tattoo. We put it on to celebrate weddings and : joyous occasions. I don't even think you are using real henna.
