I'm in the middle of experimentingwith different powders and such, so I do intend to eventually pick up these 2 as well to see how I like the results. I've heard so much good stuff about Jamila, and the red color would be fun to have (oh geez, sorry for this pun) on hand. (winces and waits for fruit to be thrown) anyhow, your work is lovely and so are the red red reds! : Thanks Alissa, I love the red colour too !! I've never been to Mecca : myself (hopefully one day). My acquaintances would bring about a kilo : or 2 for me when they return from there. And I have to say that : everytime it is a different type and crop. The colour would vary, the : smell and the staining ability too. I have about 500 grams of this : bright green powder that is finer than the rest and smells gorgeous : but it could manage only a bright pumpkin stain (wonder if they added : dyes in there). If you like I could send some to you, just email me. : I don't sell it 'cos I get it free myself and I like others to try it : too. : : The other powders I've used that gives a more reddish stain is : Kenzi's Moroccan and Jamila. The pattern in the picture on this page : was done by Kenzi's Moroccan. I used my usual elixir which is lemon : teabag, fresh lemon/lime juice, cloves, a little sugar and bits of : catechu. I left the paste overnight (no wraps, no nothing). : : If you click on the link below, you could see what Jamila can do. For : that pattern, I added just lemon juice to the powder ('cos I was lazy : and I had some lemon juice handy). Same thing, left overnight, no : wraps. I was surprised and very pleased with the stain too, such a : beautiful red :) ... Why don't you give them a try (if you haven't : already ;)). : : : Love & peace, : : ~Jewel~ - who is sulking 'cos she can't make it to Sirius too :( ...
