One of the reasons we sell Moroccan!Posted by Lauren on July 12, 2001 at 19:46:49: In reply to: Kenzi's Henna- unbelievable results posted by Lisa G. on July 12, 2001 at 18:23:22: I am so in love with my Moroccan henna- it's got amazing longevity.I had paste mixed with lemon and a tad of euclyptus oil in my car for a week at above 80 degree temps in the OUTSIDE air, put it on for about 5 minutes, and got a stain lasting five days. If I LS, wrap, and leave on overnight, I can be assured of 5 clear weeks on my palm. There's a picture on the henna page of my website of a design done in my Moroccan henna at 5 weeks. I've tried Kenzi's, and hers is just the same lovely stuff as what I sell- bright green, fresh, fragrant, mixes up all gooey-smooth. Moroccan Rocks! : I just wanted to give you guys an idea of how long this stuff remains : potent - I just did an experimental design using henna that has been : in my fridge, already mixed, for 3 months!! I, too, hate to throw : anything away, and thought I would see if the henna had any staining : power left. So I did a doodle on my foot, left it on for 2 hours with : no L/S, scraped it off and got a decent, medium brown stain similar to : the way it looks when a design has already lost peak color, but not : yet 'faded'.It only lasted a couple of days (or one good loofah : scrub), so I don't think it penetrated many layers of skin, but this : is something to think about for those who don't want a long lasting : design or a good way to supply the "freebie kids" we are all faced : with whom we know are going to ruin the design anyway... : : The henna was mixed with clove infused black tea, lemon juice, and a : few drops of euc oil, and was stored in carrot bags, in a ziploc, in : the fridge (left overs from a henna class back in April). It WAS a : little runny, but if I hadn't been lazy I could have strained it and : it probably would have been fine.... : : Anybody else have good/better results with already mixed henna as old? : I haven't tried freezing it yet.. : : Lisa G.
