I would get that henna analyzed...Posted by Maureen on July 16, 2001 at 06:35:17: In reply to: Smoking Henna? posted by Ian Simpson on July 15, 2001 at 16:29:05: I came home on vacation years ago and found huge marijuana plantsgrowing in my mother's bedroom window. (My mother by-the-way was one of those church going saints who only took a drink on New Years Eve and then just one.) I asked what she was doing with reefer plants growing in her window. She told me that this was not reefer, that my younger brother had planted them for her and she was taking care of them for him. She said that he told her that they were "Arkansas Petunias". I assured her what they were...that it was quite illegal for her to be in possession of them...and that I had never heard of an Arkansas Petunia. She immediately dumped all of them in the garbage knowing that my younger brother had gotten one over on her. I thought the whole thing was hysterical. He knew she wouldn't know any better and would therefore believe him. An Arkansas Petunia by any other name ain't henna... Like everyone else said, let us hope he is not smoking and drinking henna regularly. I would imagine that a true henna tea might stain the teeth, gums, tongue or something. (Not to mention any other effects it might have.) But I think that Arkansas Petunias in tea makes you mellow. Has he made any henna brownies? Maureen
