Sometimes you win the battle and lose the war. And the larger
question is whether or not the argument that is going on is
reflective of and the most productive way to determine what is or is
not appropriate here. I don't know who gets to decide what is
appropriate. I would think it is the person with the authority and
responsibility to erase comments. If you are saying that the way
standard for posting and interaction on the forum are determined by
this sort of argument that comes and goes with time, then that is
further reason for dismay. I would seek a better way and hope that I
am not alone in desiring that better way.
