Re: Yet another rant about "black henna" - this time about suppliersPosted by Lauren on July 19, 2001 at 15:29:21: In reply to: Yet another rant about "black henna" - this time about suppliers posted by CorasMama on July 18, 2001 at 17:08:55: I think that most if not all of the suppliers listed here have non-dangerous stuff, so on a physical level, they're fine. BUT if the average Jane thinks that henna is supposed to be black, she may not accept the real stuff. This is a bummer for those of us that only use the real henna, but that's the way business runs, so I can deal with that. Where I get concerned is that if she gets it black once and it's safe, she will not think twice about letting other people apply black to her, and they may not be using anything so friendly. I believe that anyone who helps get Jane into this situation is partially responsible for and to her. This is different if it is not presented as henna. Call it body art or temporary tattoo and hopefully she'll be able to tell the difference. Just my opinion Lauren : Most of you don't have a clue who I am, because I'm almost : exclusively a lurker. But I am curious why, with all the information : on this site and in this forum on PPD, the suppliers section has : links to sites that sell this crap! What's up with that?
