You're welcome ... my pleasure!Posted by Catherine Cartwright Jones on July 23, 2001 at 23:13:26: In reply to: Thanks for your lovely generousity! posted by Meena on July 23, 2001 at 22:39:03: This is where it gets exciting! Now various old family recipes makesense .... you have to peel back the traditions to find the foundation in plain old organic chemistry! Once you get the hang of the chemistry ... mixing is no longer just carefully trying to copy an old recipe and wondering why it doesn't quite work. If you know WHICH terpines have the magic -O-H off the side and are small enough to do the job .... the spices, perfumes, kitchenwitchery stuff all falls into place! You won't believe the fragrances you can concoct with those EO's! Just make certain you lay the base out in Tea Tree, Cajaput or Ravensara, then decide which other EO you want to eclipse the medicinal scent. Heavenly, glorious scents! And ... wonderful bug repellants, especially since the local bats and frogs had fallen down on the mosquito patrol! By the 4th day hennaeing, we were in a skeeter-free zone!
