I used to do a few transfers with hectograph pencil and tissue paper
when I began doing this. Don't worry about wanting to use transfers,
they can be a useful tool when learning how to lay down straight and
curved lines.
If you, or your husband, knows some tattoo artists see if they have a
hectograph pencil you can beg/borrow/steal one from them(ok...not
steal...you get the idea). Try it out, see if you like it.
