Is 6 months too long?

i jus bought some henna powder and the lady at the store informed me
that it ws 6 months old. Is this henna too old? ....however for some
reason, its the best smelling henna i've ever smelled! it smells so
fragrant like plumeria flowers! i wanna eat it....well not quite =)
