I've had this too! Don't open the file!Posted by Liisa on July 26, 2001 at 06:33:45: In reply to: THE VIRUS posted by Joe B on July 25, 2001 at 23:33:37: I've recieved the file several times now acctually. At first Ithought that someone really tried to ask me a question and tried to email back :) Now I understand it must be a virus. Luckily I wasn't able to open the file. What does the doc.lnk. extension stand for, really? I thought viruses come in .exe files. Joe B, did you find a virus on your computer? What type is it? is it a macro virus? If it is, I and others who use old software don't have to worry about it. It cannot harm their computers because it doesn't work. However, if you recieve this email, DON'T TOUCH THE ATTATCHED FILE! Just delete the message. The contents is always the same: How are you. I send you this file in order to have your advice. See you later. I've recieved the email from several different email addresses. And run a virus scan on your computer right away. Come to think of it, I haven't done that yet... gotta call my brother and ask him to. -Liisa
