I'm sure that where I live has a lot to do with it. It's : very culturally mixed. Even if people didn't know what it was they : usually commented because they thought it was pretty. I guess those : that didn't like it just kept Their opinion to themselves. : : I attended a big family wedding once right after I had worked a fair : and had a huge lacy design covering the back of my hand. My family : and the guests were mostly very traditional, conservative Christians. : I was prepared for some stares and negative comments.Surprise: : everyone thought it was beautiful! : : Once at a fair while I was doing a design on a boy, this girl in his : group of friends kept saying really loudly; "THAT LOOKS LIKE F@#$#*?! : BIRD SH@!. After explaining the mud to her a couple of times and : still getting the bird sh@! response, I was about to get up and kick : her @$$! The worst situation I have had so far as far as rudeness is concerned, i had a couple of sisters come in my shop they had a picture drawn of a foot with so much design and detail, I think I MAY have been able to do it with a pencil. I proceeded the pattern with every 2 minutes one of them saying to the other"Sue, she is really messing up our design". I would stop what I was doing and ended up wipping off paste over and over again. AFter over an hour, I was ready to WIG OUT. Finally I was smart enough to hand the one sister a pencil and tell her to design it just like she wants and I would follow that and stain. WE all got through it. but it was the hardest $25 I ever had to earn. But it taught me patience. my next customer was so happy with everything that I did, I was so HAPPY>>> I guess that is another reason for "PRoblem Customers" it sure does help you appreciate the good ones.
