I have found these to be an extremely valuable tool get honest
feedback from customers.

If I feel that a customer is being "kind to my feelings " rather than
being honest then I give or send out a customer survey form which
they can fill out and add extra comments.

Lots of people feel far more comfortable writing their tru thoughts
down rather than saying it directly to your face.
