Rinsing terped paste?

ok,
i know this might be a dumb question-- but can you rinse off terped
paste? I know it's perfectly fine to rinse normal henna paste, but i
don't know if water destroys terps or something...
i ask because i have henna paste on my feet right now that i am sure
will need water to come off! It's sticky as heck and it's not going
anywhere...
