a tiny piece to add to the henna puzzlePosted by Alissa on August 5, 2001 at 22:22:31: In reply to: A henna puzzle????? posted by Maureen on August 5, 2001 at 11:09:38: I experimented with creating a shaded effect for a flower by applyingeensy bits of my hyper terped (with TT) henna inside the regular drawn petals, then kinda smearing the eensy bits around as it dried. I left it on for about 5 minutes and then removed allll henna paste from inside the petals. Waited while I drew more of the design, and then repeated the eensy bit/smear it around and then remove paste process inside the petals. Basically it left some oil residue (like you described) on the skin, but no paste. The result has been exactly what I wanted -- the petals turned a tan "lighter shade of pale" and the petal outlines remained dark.
