Hopefullyothers will chime in with their experiences so you can start to piece together a way to do it. I usually charge an hourly rate; I am in NYC and I charge $60 which I am told is on the low side. I am not comfortable charging more so I keep it there. I usually tell them it is a three-hour minimum which works out fine because most parties I have done have lasted on average 3 hours. I also charge for round trip travel time (half my hourly rate) if it's over a half hour and for travel expenses, if it is beyond the reaches of the subway. I haven't done this yet, but I want to put together a book of designs just for parties. I want to do this because sometimes one or more people will ask for a really elaborate design which is fine when you are paid by the design, but when you are trying to henna a lot of people you will be denying others a chance to get a design if you spend all your time on one person. I might also make a book of designs that appeal to teenage girls so that they don't have to wade through everything. I am starting to get an idea of what teenage girls like and it's not what you would think. I would ask the organizer about getting you a quiet corner, a couple of chairs or at least a place where you can sit comfortably. That's all I can think of right now. Others will give you more advice, I am sure.
