cracking

Ok, got some good stuff, laid down some good designs ( I think
anyway) but....how the hell do I stop the paste cracking after about
15 minutes. I have made a sugar/lemon syrup and this only seems to
keep the paste moist but doesn't prevent the cracks, even on non
moving parts of the body. Any sugesstions welcome, although I am not
keen on the new skin idea.
