More ways to decoratePosted by BimboGeri on August 12, 2001 at 09:50:43: In reply to: More on nail polish posted by Rupal on August 12, 2001 at 04:57:21: I came across some powders that my mum used to use when she was acake decorator, and decided to use them as pigment for making body paints. I figured as they were edible they couldn't be too dangerous. I've tried mixing them with oil and water (separately - I know they don't mix!) to see which would last longer. The oil makes a nice paste but slips off quite easily. Haven't tried the water stuff yet... The powders themselves are 'dusting powders' if anyone's interested. I don't know how much they cost as mine are quite old, but they do make nice pigments as (totally off topic here!) I'd used them before to colour plain metallic fabric paint and it worked a dream. luv BG
