do it yourself stencilsPosted by Jolynn on August 13, 2001 at 08:21:06: Hi, I'm rather new to henna and this page but wanted to share a neatlittle project I just tried. I had just bought some paper punches for making bindis and hit on the idea of putting light weight paper on the exposed side of two faced tape and punching out a row of dragonflies with my new punch (making my own one time use stencil). I cleaned my skin well with alcohol and put it on, filled the openings with some paste and covered with micropore tape. Left it on overnight. I the morning I pulled off the tapes and there was this cute little row of dragonflies dancing across my right hand( no longer doomed to bareness because I just can't do henna well with my left hand). Now my son has some cats, I have dolfins on my arm and my niece can't wait to have horses around her wrist. This works sooo well with kids and people who don't want to be overly careful not to smuge the paste. Next i want to try contact paper for larger designs but fear it won't stick well enough. Love this forum, keeps me up way too late at night!!! If I can ever figure out how to include a picture I will have to try posting one(did I mention I stay up way too late?).
