Many libraries use the Library of Congress' Subject headings when
cataloging their books. Under these guidelines, the following subject
headings for books on mehndi are recognized as "valid" by these
standards :

-Body painting
-Mehndi (Body Painting)
-Henna, folklore.

Dont know if that helps or not, but it is one systematic way of
categorizing the subject.

-Alissa (who was a public library cataloger for years and years
before giving up that soulless but stable existence and taking the
plunge into fine arts administration).
