tips in carrot bagsPosted by Alissa on August 26, 2001 at 14:51:32: In reply to: to Anne Beltestad posted by Rosemary on August 26, 2001 at 00:57:41: I've tried cutting a small hole in a carrot bag and then putting aJacquard tip *inside* the carrot bag before the henna goes in. With just the metal tip sticking out at the end, you can tape it in place from the outside and it works fairly well. Downsides were that some henna will ooze out the corners if the tip doesnt stay in place, and you still have to deal with picking out clogs in your tips if they occur. Getting the tip out of the bag can't be done easily until the henna is gone, another down side. I still favor the j-bottle, but havent experimented a whole lot yet with the carrot bag approach (either with or without the tips). It's funny to hear everyone talking about hennaeing being like cake decorating -- that was EXACTLY my thought when I was trying the carrot bag for the first time and the henna was that eliptical shape that stood up on the skin, "This looks and acts like cake frosting."
