Also, eating is about the only way that experiment would work: in it they used liver cells, or an enzyme from the liver (Jeremy knows which) as a catalyst. The only way you could ever get henna to react with your liver is by eating tonnes of it, or trying to tattoo your insides :) SO rest assured, we're all totally safe!
