Book details? PLEEEEEEZPosted by Lauren on September 4, 2001 at 22:31:08: In reply to: diffrence between henna in folklore and henna in art(irani) posted by Erfan on September 4, 2001 at 21:46:54: Anything related to pre-1600 henna, I'm into. When can I get myhands on your book? Lauren : In Iran I had the great oppurtunity to talk to traditional miniature : painter..... : I of course talked about henna and suchlike.... : I do now KNOW why henna in folks and henna in miniatures are SO : diffrend! : BECAUSE of ONE reason:traditional persian miniature paintig never did : show poor ore everage people.....just princesses, kings, queens and : paris(something simmilar to female angels) : And king´s designs and "average" peoples designs were REALLY : diffrend.because kings and rich people ALWAYS wanted an OWN : design....every rich family was supposed to have a miniature painter : and a hennaartist.and the designs were diffrend-king to king! : But the really symbolism was applied by the folk......cause they had : less money and so they did need more from god.....because in old Iran : they said:the lesser you have money the lesser god likes you........ : : SO now I do know why catherine was so wondered when she saw my : hjennapatterns from Iran.because this patterns were "average" : designs.which were used in hennaart. : : But my book will also include DOZENS of "king and queen" designs : : : Erfan
