And the reason that 70% isopropyl is used as a disinfectant is because there is a belief that 70% is more effective at killing bacteria than the pure alcohol but I am not sure what evidence supports that. Grain alcohol and vodka are very pure ethyl alcohol. Most vodkas are 190 proof or 80% alcohol. Grain alcohol is around 95% pure. So percentage wise they are quite high. If you do want to resell this product then you can purchase SD alcohol or pure ethyl alcohol that has been denatured so that it is not a food item. Alcohol for consumption carries some special regulations. Pure ethyl alcohol is not difficult to obtain. People also drink it in rather large quantities though it is not necessarily wise to do so. Until I see the scientific study proving the pure isopropyl alcohol is hazardous when used topically even in small amounts (and not force fed to rats) I will keep using my bottle of 99% pure isopropyl alcohol I got from the drug store. So far there is no evidence that isopropyl alcohol is as toxic as you believe when used on the skin. I would agree that it should be used with caution but the MSDS usually inflate the dangers so that they err on the side of caution. I am not satisfied that there is enough evidence supporting your claims.
