Anything planned for this weekend?

Monday we got an invite to henna at a festival this Sunday. Afteryesterday, we thought about not doing it, but then I thought about
the whole terrorism thing and I think it's important to go. What
happened isn't called massacre, although it is. The purpose was not
to kill, although they did, mindfully. It's called terrorism because
that's the object- terror. Take a strong nation and make them cower
in their beds, afraid to go out and live. I think I'll make up a
bunch of prayer flags and take them to give away at the event, but
that is all the concession I'm going to make to those who would kill
tens of thousand of innocents in order to make me afraid to be who I
am. If I can hold someone's hand for a while, even if they're paying
me for my henna at the time, maybe that will help heal a little of
the wound in our collective psyches. At any rate, I think that no
matter how hard it is at first, and while not forgetting the damage
done to our country and our fellow citizens and in some cases friends
and family, it is very important not to let the evil win. Go out and
create beauty in a harsh world. Dance. Sing. Cry. But don't let
your life stop. Don't let them win.
