I can email you a pic or 3 of hennaed transsexuals, and the
bibliographic references if you can be patient. I'm swamped for the
next week or so, and it'll take a spare hour in the files to dig out
the material.

I've seen no indication that the patterns were anything other than
parallel to patterns normally worn by women during the same period.
