More stuff they needPosted by Linda in NJ on September 14, 2001 at 22:04:00: In reply to: If you want to help NY rescue workers posted by Kenzi on September 14, 2001 at 00:39:58: I work for a College and the list they provided also included:opticare eydrops for the search dogs (you can get them easily in a pet store) rubber soled dog boots (their paws are getting cut on the glass and metal) anything with caffiene (aka coffee, soda, tea etc.) non-perishable sandwiches (PB and J etc, no mayonnaise) medical supplies (bandages, eye drops for people, alcohol, peroxide etc) "C" batteries flashlights I don't know where everyone lives however: Iona College which is in New Rochelle in Westchester has been allowed to send trucks down to WTC to deliver goods. If you want to drop off a donation they will take it. Drop it off before noon Saturday or before noon Sunday (they're making two deliveries). They are also taking volunteers to help pack trucks at the college, and to help unpack trucks downtown. If you go to volunteer just mention that Linda Robertello who works in the College Assistance Program (my office there) sent you and it should be okay. They'll take donations from anyone.
