thoughts and a questionPosted by Rosemary on September 16, 2001 at 22:21:06: I am sick in my heart and soul about what has happened in NY andabout the future. My fear is that this was only the beginning. I feel that calling it a war and forcing people to takes sides can only exacerbate a sticky situation... I won't go on and on about my personal views, but I think tolerance is called for here, and respect for other people's race, religion, sex, or hairdo even! One of the reasons NYC is such a great place is that it is so international, and tolerant of others. I have been listless, and unfocused, although maybe it is also due to the end of summer/henna season, etc. But I did try out the transfer method suggested by CCJ (with watercolor pencils) and found out that it worked great. Then I noticed that if I used a computer printout instead of a photocopy I got a perfect transfer WITHOUT the pencil. The ink from the computer transfers perfectly onto wet skin! Did you guys know this? I didn't. And the question is... Is it safe? The transfer wiped off easily. I didn't try hennaing on top of it because all my henna was in the freezer, and I was feeling too unmotivated to experiment, but I can't see how it would be a problem. So I'm putting it out to the forum. Any ideas or suggestions??
