Thank youPosted by Catherine Cartwright Jones on September 19, 2001 at 02:02:38: In reply to: Was gonna mention but forgot. posted by khoa on September 19, 2001 at 01:37:36: : Hey catherine i just wanted to mention that the rangoli you did was: spectacular, and by just looking at it you can feel the emotions put : into it. Its sad that other people can't do something artistic to : let emotions of hate, anger and sadness out. Glad you liked it ... I've always done my best work when in an intense emotional state. I've never gotten the hang of yelling, fighting, screaming or throwing things ... and I can't bear ritual ... BUT ....when overwhelmed with difficult feelings, I draw good. So I do that. My backside is still feeling it! A big rangoli (30 - 40 feet across) is NO WAY artsy-fluffy-sweety stuff (didn't the girly do something pretty and cute). It's HARD WORK and it changes the way you think, (especially knowing every moment that beauty (metaphor for life) must inevitably be destroyed)(and remade again!).
