Do continue to act in ways that express you own conscience and hope
that others will do the same.

accept that this means coming to different conclusions, different
opinions and therefore different actions by each one who considers
the issue.

accept that what you feel you need to do in order to express your
views and conscience may not be the same as others.

take criticism when it helps you to refine how you really feel about
an issue, and discard the rest.

let hurtful words hit you like tiny stones and then bounce off of
you, never penetrating, like pebbles falling off the sturdy mountain.
they sting, but do not injure.
