I have been using coconut oil on my skin and hair for many, many
years. Years ago, I had to go through a pharmacist to get it ordered
in quantity. Now most neighborhood Indian grocery stores also sell
it in pints, quarts and gallons. I add just a bit of coconut
fragrant oil to the jar and get that coco-nutty smell. One word of
caution: If you live in a cold climate, coconut oil on your hair
will freeze and bead up when you go out in the cold and melt again
when you return inside. It is rather fascinating and fun really.
But if someone does not know what it is they think it is big
snowflakes.
