Thesame thing has happened to me many times. I don't know if I deal with it successfully, but I try to remain calm and polite and cite scientific information to make my case. Find out the facts and quote them; tell them how the henna molecule binds with the keratin and how skin exfoliates etc. If you don't feel confident about your facts, suggest that they go to this site to find out more. Give those who are open-minded an option to find the correct information. Another thing to note, you might not have to worry about people misunderstanding and turning their hair orange as a result of your colleagues incorrect information. Hopefully anyone who sells henna for use on hair will inform the client about any dangers (using after hair is chemically treated etc.) and about what kind of color to expect. People who buy henna for hair from me get the whole story, whether they want it or not. I hate to hear back from clients who are upset at unexpected results. I often talk people out of buying it if I get the impression that they have unrealistic expectations of the color they will get.
