The scanner at moms office should have some sort of software that
tells you how long the photo will take to scan or shows its progress
while its being scanned.
This software will let you adjust the photos properties like RED
EYE,CONTRAST and most important SIZE.
It takes some experimenting with actual photo size verses digital
photo size. Good luck
