They dry soooo quickly and hard that they remind me of quick- crete...I could skip the sealant if I chose to and didn't want them to remain moist longer. They each stain more quickly than most other powders as well. When applied to thicker skin the paste does not feel in anyway differently than any others. But when appied to thinner and more sensitive skin area, what I feel is the pulling of the skin as they are drying. I don't register that as itchy but I do feel the sensation as a tickling sensation. I always add sugar and since the Sirius findings, I always add cajeput to my paste. This makes the paste dry more slowly and the pulling of the skin thing does not happen...and therefore, no tickling. I just tried them again with just lemon juice and then added the sugar and cajeput. Same thing happened. Without the sugar and cajeput, they dried on my wrist, upper arm and stomach quickly and created the tickling sensatin as they paste pulled the skin tight. With the caj and sugar they dried at the more expected pace and I felt nothing. Absent of an allergy...maybe it is the speed of drying and skin pulling that is causing the discomfort. Maureen
